Having served as the undersecretary of the Pontifical Council for the Family (PCF) and as the Vice-President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, in 2009 Bishop Jean Laffitte was appointed Secretary of the PCF. Bishop Laffittee holds a doctorate in moral theology and has made significant contributions to marriage and family issues over a number of years. Born in France and a member of the Emmanuel Community, Bishop Laffitte is the Titular Bishop of Entrevaux.

A well known author, speaker, commentator and advocate, Melinda Tankard Reist is the author of three books. Her advocacy for women and girls includes working to highlight and address the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls in Australia and globally. The founder of Women’s Forum Australia, she has recently initiated a new movement-Collective Shout. She is married to David, with four children.

Bishop Joseph Grech was born in Malta and completed his studies for the priesthood in Australia, being ordained in 1974. He became an auxiliary bishop of Melbourne in 1999 and was appointed Bishop of Sandhurst Diocese in 2001. He is a member of the Bishops Commission for Pastoral Life and the Bishops Commission for Mission and Faith Formation. He is also the chair of the Australian Catholic Youth Council.

Dr Adam Cooper has a PhD in Philosophy and a licentiate in sacred theology. He is a Senior Lecturer in Patristics at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage & Family in Melbourne. Before becoming a Catholic, Adam was a Lutheran pastor for ten years. He is married to Elizabeth and they have one son.

Byron and Francine Pirola have been married for 20 years and have five children. They have worked in the area of marriage enrichment and natural fertility for numerous years. Authors of numerous articles on marriage, Byron & Francine are also the co-authors and the Australian founders of Celebrate Love and Embrace. They are members of the Australian Catholic Marriage and Family Council.

Dr Brigid McKenna is a medical doctor with a Masters of Bioethics from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage & Family in Melbourne. She works for Sydney Archdiocese’ Life, Marriage & Family Centre as a Policy Officer and a lecturer in ethics at the University of Notre Dame Sydney. Brigid is married to Michael and they have two young children.
